I too am a concerned mother of a nystagmus sufferer. My son was diagnosed when he was six months old and is now 22months. We have noticed he has great difficulty at school looking in an upward direction at the board and his teacher is concerned. He often needs to stand and wander around the room until he finds a location he can focus from. He does not like to sit while working on projects or watching tv or while reading books. My son seems to have a hard time slowing down enough to walk and is constantly running. We are concerned this is due to the constant motion of his eyes. Any thoughts?
