PREGNANCY AND DILANTIN

Studies dating back to 1968 have found that dilantin can cause birth defects. It is listed as a 'teratogenic' drug. Teratogenic is Greek for Monster Maker. The most common defects are in facial appearance. Learning disabilities and delayed motor development also occur. I know this because I sued Parke-Davis for the effects dilantin had on my 30 year old son! Epilepsy Foundation of America refuses comment on this as do other so-called support groups, most of whom receive funding from drug companies. Before becoming pregnant, please consult your doctor and ask for all information on the risks. Make an informed decision!
