it is a infectious diesease that effects the skin, membrane, and nerves. It also may cuase the suffer the go blind and lose limbs. It makes the skin numb and when it get hurts the person dose not feel it so may bleed to death or the hurt may get affected. this is a not so common disease only about 5% of the world suffers from it and it is mainly in and around poor countries. it may take years for u to relize if u have leprosy ppl have gone up to 30 years without knowing that they have it. Leprosy started in 600 B.C. Children are more likely to get it. Leprosy is metioned in the Old Testament of te bible stateing that if u had Leprosy it was to punish u for a sin u did. They also formed Leper colnies but those are not so common any more cuz ppl have learned to adapt. there are some medacaitons to help cure Leprsoy and scientist are working on better ones.
