Donna, I had surgery to remove a 7 year tumor from the same area. I had the operation to have the tumor removed and it went fine. While recovering from the surgery, your brother may have to wear a temporary colostomy bag, but it SHOULD be temporary. And tell him to continue to stay on top of his situation because I didn't and now I have to have a permanent colostomy bag.
