Hello: I read your message about your tinnitus and wanted to reply. I have recently been diagnosed with tinnitus as well. I am definitely able to appreciate what you are suffering with. I experience noise in both ears--the sound alternates from sounding like crickets,an electrical buzz/hum, or a high pitched ringing sound. I have only had it for two months and it feels as though it has been two years. I have already visited a host of medical doctors--internal,ENT,& a neurologist thus far without any degree of help. I have recently discovered an article via the internet about the Shea Ear Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. AS per the article he has had some success with a lidocaine perfusion procedure to the inner ear combined with IV lidocaine. I have also come across material which suggests that tinnitus can be treated with high doses of Ginko Biloba in the form of a standardized extract (between 940mg and 450mg as determined best by the individual sufferer) Anyway, I wish you much success and hope in dealing with this terrible disorder.
