Yes, I developed DVTs years after diagnosed w/crohn's. I've been on coumadin for about 5 years now. I've been told that both problems are autoimmune disorders. *where your body doesn't recongnise parts of itself and attacks. My hemotologist at the time said they were probably related. during a recent/current crohn's flair up, we tried some antibiotics that were known to increase INR so they made me decrease my coumadin, I ended up in the ER with a 0.9 INR and superficail bloodclot! We can't get my crohns into remmission - ugh! Let me know if you want any more information. I drive my doctors crazy with questions! HOPE you're doing ok.
