I don't know what to tell you, except that it must be very hard. My sister, who is 51 has pancreatic cancer, and was diagnosed this past spring. My doctor has told me that it is very unlikely that she will live a year (only about 19% live 12 months past diagnosis). I am finding that unless I bring up this specific cancer with people, it is probably one of the least talked about cancers. Everyone I know who had a friend or relative with it has told me that the person is already dead.
