My 11 year old son had 3 surguries because he had a severe case of craniosynostosis. When he gets older and he has problems at school or something happens with his head (his back was never touched)then he will have more cosmetic surgury done at our request. Everything is fine now and he wears his hair in a buzz cut and isn't worried about his scar showing. He is also at a new school (only been there 1 year)and no one's said anything or teased him. I raised him single-handedly and just brought him up not to worry about what people think because no ones perfect!!
