i had scoliosis since i was 13 i'm now 44. i was in a brace for 3yrs it never helped cure it but, did keep it from getting worse. my spine is ess shaped have one shpulder blade that sticks out further than the other. i wear bigger shirts so its not so noticeable. really the only cure is back surgery where a rod is put in by your spine to straighten it but i figure at my age i can live with it.i only get minor lower back pain every once in awhile. it also has somehting to do with your lungs where you don't have your normal breathing capacity.
