seizures

My daughter (now 26) had very frequent seizures as an infant. They continued on up through her teenage years. They are much less frequent now. While an infant tests revealed she has McCardles disease syndrome. It is a form of muscular dystrophy. She appears totally normal. THe disease affects her primarily in her legs. When she becomes over tired or exhausted the seizures do seem to become more frequent. Her legs will draw up under her (uncontrollably) and she will fall They usually last about 20 minutes. I believe they told us it was somehow triggered by am imbalance. That it had to do with converting stored glycogen in her muscles. I hope this will help someone to look up the symptoms----I think it is a realatively uncommon symdrome. Best of wishes to anyone who suffers from any seizures. eahudson@mmm.com
