I was diagnosed with WG in nov 1999 after three months of misery and eventually kidney failure. Be persistent with the doctors. Looking back my biggest mistake was trust, resulting in complacency.I was helped by a nephrologist that took an interest in my case and thoroughly researched WG. As you know by now there are no real experts in the disease and very little is known about it. I am presently in remission taking 150 mg Cytoxan daily and 5 mg Prednisone every other day. Your brother is in my prayers and I hope you find a compassionate, knowledgeable doctor
