No Absolutely not, # 1 her legs should be kept elevated as often as possible especially when she is sleeping. She needs to stay off of her legs, no leg crossing, If it is that bad she should be on bed rest for 3 weeks with leg elevation. Have her take blood thinners to help disolve the clots, coumadin is one by RX only, asprin is another. Have her look into CHELATION THERAPY. Does she have filters on these clots? What kind of meds is she taking? I just lost my little brother to a blod clot so I have done my homework. His clot was a result of a very successful Brain Tumor operation. They just overlooked the fact that his leg was red and he was in pain and could not walk. No.1 Blood thinners, No.2 Blood clot filter along with pain meds containing asprin will help the pain and aid in the disolving of the clot. No. 3 Lots of K vitamins such as lettuce or tablets as they also contain blood thinners. No.4 Keep legs elevated. MOST OF ALL SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR -- Vascular Surgeon
