Frances
My cousin, Frances, underwent 30 radiation treatments after removal of a tumour in her left breast. Instead of the mild sunburned effect that her doctors promised, the skin on her breast is now black and painful. The doctors seem perplexed about her condition, but have not given her anything to relieve the pain and suffering except for a salve. One other factor: one day the radiation machine was broken, so the next time they did two treatments at once. Has anyone else suffered this blackening of the skin? And what did your doctors do about it?
