I am glad to find this message board. I didn't realize so many other people experienced these painful, unsightly boils that seem to form around the buttock or pubic area. Are you diabetic? Are you aware that this happens to diabetics when their sugar is not under control? I am diabetic and since my blood sugar levels are not consistently under control, I sometimes get these horrible boils that get very large and painful. Like someone else said, makes it difficult to walk, sit. Sometimes they can be treated with that black ichymal(sp?) ointment that brings them to a head and helps them burst, but last time this happened, had to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. They helped, thank God. The doctor also advised me to lose weight. Are you obese? If so, that plays a big part in getting boils. If you haven't had your blood sugar levels check, please do. It may be the cause of your boils.
