I'm 35 with fibromyalgia, arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome. I too have a big problem with sleep. The 17 doctors I seen all were very skeptical for sleep med. AND pain medicine. They've finally realized that some days I can't even get out of bed. They've got me on vicoden and ambien(along with all the other med.). Don't give up. I finally had to tell them that there's a big difference between addiction and survival. I would rather be addicted and able to live 1/2 way than be in total pain & not live at all. Good Luck!
