I too suffered for years from chronic UTI's. I finally found a excellent Urologist who worked with me and for the past 10 years I have had only three bladder infections. I am a RN. First I was tested for diabetes, with blood work. Next this was hard, I had to increase my water intake to three quarts or more per day. THen I went to the ob/gyn for a complete work up. Also has your physican tried macrobid inplace of the bactrim? Using the same drug only increases your chance of making the batericia resistant to treatment.
