I to had a child with bad breath. It turned out that she hsd badly infected adnoids. after years of winter ear infections adn foul breath I found a pediatrition that sent me to a ear nose and throat specialist. At 7 she had her adnoids partially removed and was treated with anti-biotics. She is 16 now and has not had a reoccurance of that problem. The reason her adnoids were only partially removed was because she had a minor cleft palet that we were never told sbout when she was born. hope this helps.
