sinusitis

I just returned from the allergy/sinus doctor in our area and was diagnosed with chronic and acute sinus problems. I was tested for allergies of all kinds and had an x-ray of my sinuses with my mouth open and head back (that felt wierd). Just 18 months ago, I had sinus surgery where they removed all of the polyps(there were so many there was no where for any more to grow)plus a deviated septum corrected and spurs on my nose bones removed. I thought this would take care of all the sinus infections I had been having over the years, but guess what, I am still having them. I am constantly on antibiotics and today, was put on Tequin for 3 weeks, a new (for me)nasal spray to use twice a day indefinitely and a new (for me) decongestant called Duratuss GP twice a day. My doctor told me that once you damage your sinuses after years of infection they will bother you for the rest of your life. My allergies were just mild from the test so don't have to take allergy shots. The humidity in my bedroom should be 45-55 percent so I have to buy a guage and probably a small humidifer for the bedroom. Good luck to you.
