My daughter is now 24 years old and had strep throat and tonsillitis dince she was three years old. She was constantly on atinbiotics till the age of 21 when I finally convenced the doctor to refer us to a surgeon for removal of tonsils it has ben three years now and no more infections. Last week I finally had my other daughters tonsils removed after 21 years of constant strep and tonsilitis. I cannot understand why doctors would let children and parents go through so many years of torture. They always told me tonsil were important and needed to stay and they would grow out of it. Well Dr.s are not always right and parents know all along what their kids need. My second daughter was on amoxicillion for more months than she was off of it.
