My abdominal pain was from small kidney stones that were made 80% of uric acid. I thought the pain was from tiny kidney stones passing. It was partially but as it turns out I have what they call a staghorn kidney stone which was only found after a CAT scan was done because of an abnormality noticed on an X-ray.
