Re the elderly gentleman with PSP: you need to contact his physician and request an order for home helath Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy evaluations ASAP. The P.T. needs to address the balance problems and make recommendations for safety and/or adaptive equipment. The Speech-Language Pathologist needs to do a swallowing evaluation as the risk for aspiration with PSP is significantly increased. Don't delay. Good luck.
