hi has anybody tried a treatment called gentimicen? the doctor pokes a hole through your eardrum so that a tiny tube goes through then for 5 days three times a day a drug called gentimicen[i think thats how it's spelled] is pumped into your innerear it;s performed by a well known dr. at sunnybrook hosp in toronto. I had the worst case of the disease which included drop attacks! It's been 5 years since and only this winter I've had a couple of very minor dizzy spells which lasted a couple of seconds but no more drop attacks and my hearing is the same as before the treatment, but I do still get fluctuations in hearing. I hope this can help.
