brachial plexus injury in an adult--surgical "accident"

Thanks to all who have answered my call for help and info. I have been going to therapy daily, learning how to do things with my left hand, how to use assistive devices, and to exercise my right shoulder, arm, wrist, and fingers. Went to the neirologist today and I now have 50% function!!!!!HOORAY!!! I have really worked hard, it is on my mind daily--for the last 2 weeks I was in such severe pain that I could not concentrate on anything else--doc said it is my nerve endings "firing" off like a fireworks show. He said it was good because it meant nerve regeneration for me. I start work on Monday and am nervous about my clumsiness, but I have a note from the neurologist, and, since I work for the US government, they are required by law (Amercian with Disabilities Act) to accomodate my impairment, make any modifications so I can do the job--like I can't use a computer mouse but do OK with a touch pad, so they had to get me a touchpad. Doc say maybe in 3-4 months I'll be back to 100%--I hope so. You all know the frustration of the limitations, pain, and looking OK but not being OK. Thanks for your replies--if I can be of any support, or anything, please email me at FrancieMR@aol.com
