dear kathye, how are the doctors addressing the pain? Are prescription narcotics made available to him? If not, run- don't walk to a doctor who will do what must be done. How about a pain clinic. I felt so bad that I had to email you. In this day and age there is no reason for anyone to suffer like you describe. I have pain from a disease( Scleroderma)not an injury. But it is known to be a painful ugly killer of mostly women and my doctor-a rheumatologist- said that she would not allow me to suffer. Please find a dr that you both can depend on. Pain, untreated pain, can and will make one crazy. it drains you and makes you withdraw from the world and those around you. good luck and God bless you.
