I am a 27 year old mother of a 5 mos old baby boy. I was diagnosed with melanoma when my son was 3 mos old. I was devastated. I have not started any treatment because the tumor that was removed from my chest was not the primary site. I took a PET Scan and the scan came back with some active cells under the rib cage (sternum-I believe it is spelled). I am now waiting for the PET Scan to be compared with the CAT Scans I took in June. The doctor thinks it might be a gland and not cancer. Anyway, I would like to know if the National Melanoma Society has been organized and if you need help in any area. I would love to hear from you.
