It sounds like your pain doctor needs to go back to medical school. The bleeding from a cyst or endometrial tissue in places like ovary, fallopian tube or other places (e.g. lungs) is indeed painful. When a woman with endometriosis menstruates, the endometrial tissue located outside the uterus bleeds as well. Sometimes the pain occurs during ovulation as well. There are many Web sites and books giving research confirmation of the pain. I would suggest that you refer your doctor to those resources as a start.
