PLEASE BE CAREFUL in linking lactose intolerance in a 3 year old child to the development of Autism and ADHD. It is likely that the symptoms of Autism would be apparent by the time a child reaches the age of 3. Marked speech delays, ritualistic behavior and social skills deficits would likely have been diagnosed. The symptoms of ADHD might not be as distinguishable at this age, however. Please do not casually link allergies to the later development of these disorders, as it implies causation. While many children with these disorders may have such allergies, it is misleading and could be alarming to parents to read your description, when the causes of both disorders are still being researched.
