Joel, Were you diagnosed through hydrodistention and cystoscopy? This is the only way to diagnose IC. If this is the way you were diagnosed and your doctor said you have IC, then you do have IC. I don't think there are any meds for IC that will show significant results in the short amount of time you have been taking them. I have been diagnosed with IC and just started taking Elmiron. This med could take up to 6 months to show any sign of improvment, and doesn't work for everyone - I have talked to people who have taken it and it works for and people who it has had no effect on at all. I am just hoping it will work for me. I don't know about the meds you are taking - what does your doctor say? If you look up on healthlinkusa.com under Interstitial Cystitis you can find info on all the different meds used to treat IC - take a look, the info was very helpful to me in deciding what to try first!
