I have had Ankylosing Spondylitis for 34 years. I have NO discs in my spine. My entire body is involved. I AM CURRENTLY LIVING (IF YOU CALL THIS HELL I'M GOING THROUGH LIVING!)WITH NO RIGHT HIP. I HAVE HAD 14 OPERATIONS LAST YEAR AND WILL HAVE ANOTHER HIP PLUS THREE INCHES OF BONE PUT BACK IN THIS SUMMER. ALL OF MY JOINTS AND MOST OF MY ORGANS ARE INVOLVEd. BUT, I still manage to teach. YOU need to contact the SPONDYLITIS SOCIETY OF AMERICA in Santa Monica, California. They can help. I work with an orthopaedist in El Paso and one in ALBUQUERQUE. a rheumatologist and a SAINT who is actually my physial rehab specialist without him I would have killed myself years ago to get rid of the pain.
