Symptoms of RLS are frequently described as a creepy, crawly feelings in the legs like bugs or worms (at times it spreads to the arms and/or trunk) that is worse at night and trying to rest or relax. And these excruciating symptoms are relieved by exercise or movement. RLS symptoms can be any change of feelings in the legs or per above as long as it is worse at night and relieved by movement. Also, you might have painful sensations in your legs and possibly burning, tingling and electric-shock-like feelings associated with your RLS. For a more complete description, visit my Site below. I am limited by space here. PLMS are involuntary limb movements while sleeping and/or awake. Ask your sleeping partner if you kick him/her at night. These movements might be causing sleep fragmentation. Are tired and fatigued during the day? This might be why. Approximately eighty percent (80%) of RLS patients have RLS and PLMS. Many good treatments are available for RLS and/or PLMS (many RLS patients have both). For those serious about wanting to be on their way to restful nights suffering from RLS and/or PLMS, visit my Site below (designed to be printed off and studied -- these are complex disorders): http://www.mlists.net/judson/Elaty.html Also, see your qualified healthcare practitioner for diagnosis and possibly treatments. This is only for general information purposes and not intended for medical advice. Dr. Elaty
