I am 17 and I am severly intolerent.I have had many experences with different types of pills (Lactaid, Dairy Ease, generics, etc.). NOTHING has worked. I can consume almost no ice cream, cheese or milk, and I still get an upset tummy. I can't find anything that works, even the hidden ingredents in different foods make me sick. My doctor insists that I am not because I was tested 3 years ago (three members on my mothers side also have intolerence). At that time I had no problem eating anything I wanted. A couple of monthes later I was getting severly sick (throwing-up, migraines, hot/cold flashes, etc.). To the lady with the 16 year old daughter, maybe she has an inconsistant diet because she has recently been sick or isn't feeling well. I have the same symptoms, I am not hungry at 6-7-8 PM, I don't want to eat until midnight-1:00 in the morning. I would eat the worst stuff I could find, candy, cookies, chips whatever. My ex-girlfriend also has Lactose intolerence, we would make each other meals at 2 AM sometimes, because we wern't hungry until then. I hope this helps you out, I hope you can find a way to help her with the way she eats.
