My son also had hydrocephalus. He had several shunts. At about 1 year he had a kidney removed and a shunt put into the steril kidney cavity. (This is no longer done) The last shunt worked. My son will be 43 in December. He was in the National Honor society in his Junior year of High School. He attended the U. of Montana. He also is a devout Christian and his faith has sustained him.
