I am hypoglycemic and just recently have been diagnosed.I see a dietian every two weeks with a high protein,low carb.,no simple suger diet.I had to learn exchanges and it has controled my waves of up to 240mg/dl to 22mg/dl by finger sticks to a reletively steady 88-156.Go out-right now-by a glucomonitor(I love the dex by bayer-so easy to use!)Check you glucose, control it with the diet-you definately have to see a dietain.Once you control it,you have no more wild mood swings,headaches don't go away right away,but they will receed too.You'll get your energy back,then all you have to do is find out why your body is doing this.Keep a log of exactly what you eat,what your blood sugar is before and 1/2hr,1hr,2hr after and take it to an endocrinologist.there are many reasons why you are hypoglycemic,It could be a pre-diabetic snydrone,tumor,or idiopathic.eat every two hrs,I know this is hard,but I,ve found the perfect trail mix:spoon size shreaded wheat(unfrosted),unsalted/plain peanuts(for protein),Hand full of honey nut cherios(not too much-it's just to add flavor),raisens,and ensure's protein bar for diabetics(also try on by choice)cut the bars up into little squares(small as 1/2-1/4 the size of the shreaded wheat).remember to drink a lot of water!the reason why your body is losing weight is because your body is in a catabolic state-meaning burning muscle,bone,fat for energy because it has none!glucose is the body's energy!it is very dangerous to go low and high with your bs.another thing is "nite-bite" you can get at your pharmacy-if the don't sell it they can order it just ask.it is a time release glucose bar-wonderfull.that's all the time i have to talk for now,but if anyone has a question just ask me i'll tell you what i know,good luck-Tree
