I have changed my diet to include a lot of vegetables, no meat and only organic chicken and turkey. I feel a lot better since the last time I posted which was in September 2000. I am also taking a B complex vitamin. I would not go near iron - because that is not the problem. However, I would also take Vitamins A, C and E. I am at the tail end of a cold now and although my husband and I cought it at the same time - his was over 3 days ago. I know this is because of the thallasemia; the only good thing about this is that it may be harder for thallasemics to catch certain diseases because of the problem we have with our cells transporting oxygen (which all living things need to survive, including diseases). Malaria is one of the diseases that would have trouble surviving in our bodies.I just thought this would be interesting to many of you.
