Hi Helen, I, too,as diagnosed with meniere's about the same time you were. Your description was perfect. My ENT has me on a diuretic and a potassium tablet I take every day plus a low sodium diet. It really has helped altho there are times I feel light headed but able to function. If I do feel like that I take a 1/2 valium. I also lost hearing in my one ear but I really don't notice it. I too have the ringing but the only time I notice it is when the house is quiet. When I had those horrific spells the ringing was driving me crazy,now it is very subtle. Hope this helps some. Betty
