I have had 3 reoccurrences of kidney stones in the last 18 mos. Every time the dr does a CT or sonagram which shows it is a single and tells me that I shouldn't have anymore problems. The last dr give me some meds which seemed to melt the stone so that I could pass it easier. However, I have noticed and I'm not sure if there has been a study on it but every time I had a stone it was during my menstrual cycle. So I have started drinking enough water during that time to fill up a swimming pool. For something so small they sure hurt like the dickens. Good luck with yours.
