My husband has a dvt of the leg it was discovered August 13,1999. He was in the hospital given Heprin and then coumadin-which he is taking now. He had another ulta sound and the clot is still there ,from his ankle to his knee,he was sent to a vascular surgeon,who after exam said there was nothing else to do except wear support hose and elevate his leg as much as possible and take coumadine for the resrt of his life. he is going to another vascular for another opinion..Any information any one has will be welcomed...thank you ...Pat
