My son is 9 and also goes through these violent "episodes" I have taken him to child psychiatrists and was told it was not an emotional problem. I just assumed it was probably brought on by the confusion he must feel from his lack of understanding what was happening to him due to his seizure disorder. He does not seem to have any warning before a seizure and afterwards he suffers a lot of confusion. His episodes with anger seem to always be centered after seizures. I would be happy to hear if you find a medical reason and/or answer to helping our children with this.
