I hope your doing well Linda! I'm 23 and may be getting a hip replacement done soon. I had Perthes disease in my right hip at age 10. About 6 months ago i started having pain and can hardly walk. The doctors are reluctant to do a hip replacement in someone so young. Also, most of my pain is in the outer hip. My bonescan didn't show bursitis and my MRI shows the cartilidge in my joint is worn away, so the pain on my outer hip is probably referred pain.
