A 70 year old friend of my parents was diagnosed with this after recently smashing his finger while changing a tire. He is currently in surgical ICU and has some kind of a special blanket trying to reduce his fever. He had to have his finger amputated. Complicating his recovery is the fact he has diabetes and lukemia. My Dad is very upset about this dear friend... What do you honestly think his chances are, considering all those factors? Thanks...
