Sue...I am so familiar with what you are saying!!! Sheesh....both my almost 9 year old daughter and almost 8-year old son have CPP. I am absolutely amazed by the attitude changes I see on a regular basis. One minute, I am dealing with a typical 8 year old...then all of a sudden it's a teen-ager with all the logic and emotions that go with that "stage". I have some difficulty with how to appropriately discipline them anymore, since I am not sure that they even understand the "attitude" they are flipping me at times. Also, I am getting very fed up with outsiders who (mean well but...) tell me that "this is normal kid behavior". Bull. I also have to smile internally when I hear people tell me that "Oh, my sister's kids went into puberty early." They just don't understand that this isn't the same as just physically developing early. Oh well. I used to try and educate others; now I just smile and tell people "Well, this is a little different" and go on my way.
