I am a 32 year old woman who was recently diagnosed with Neurally Mediated Hypotension.This has been very difficult for me and my family.I have 3 small children.I can't work because I never know when I am going to pass out.I was told to drink gaterade,because it has salt,potassium and other nutrients in it.Increase salt intake.I have been put on Florinef.That is not working.The next step is to try differnt med's.If that doesn't work then a pase maker is an option made to me.Yes,I am scared.If it will help do it.Johns Hopkins Hospital in baltimore, I think, is the best hospital in the country.Good luck and things will be ok.I know exactly how you feel.Keep thinking positive.
