My doctor says I have Tonsillitis. I have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. He said the cause is just an infection.
Most cases of tonsillitis are caused by infection with a common virus, but a bacterial infection also may cause tonsillitis.
I thought Oh no, surgery, but he said surgery to remove tonsils is usually performed only when tonsillitis occurs frequently and doesn't respond to other treatments or causes serious complications. So now I am having treatment, and hoping it works!
