I just read an article that suggested that 60% of doctors will give a discount upfront on a medical bill, apparently reductions can be as much as 25%. The article said that there are also medical advocates who for a fee based upon what they save you will negotiate for you.
I am looking at some possible hefty medical bills and wondered if anyone else had any experience negotiating with their Doctor about the costs for his services. Any tips would be appreciated.
