I will be 40 in a week and a half, I am on my 7th day of recovery. It has not been pleasant, but I have managed most of the pain with the drugs. I don't regret it, I just can't wait to finish healing, do it now before you get older. Plan on two weeks at least, like I said I am on day 7 and in pain still, quite a bit of ear pain today. I can drink water and swallow, it hurts, but I don't sit around and cry, although I don't do much of anything but watch movies and I can talk, but it hurts if I talk to much.
