I was diagnosed with PMR in 2003 and I understand your pain. So frustrating and debilitating when weaning off Prednizone. I was
lucky to find a good Rheumatologist who keeps me on 5mg. of Prednizone. This dose keeps me in check. Once I wean off it, the pain, sleeplessness and depression comes back. I thought this was supposed to disappear in a year or two, but not so. Find a good Rheumatologist who can find the right dose for you. Good Luck.
