My son, who is 14 years old has RP. He was taking the vitamin Palmitate-A 5000 by Akorn. Akorn does not make this vitamin any longer and every GNC or vitamin shop i go to does not carry it. I was given Vitamen A 10,000 IU by Nature's Plus as a subsitute by one shop. Is this vitamin a subsitite? Do you know of any company that makes the Palmitate-A 5000. I was told by my son's opthamologist that this vitamin can keep his eyes healthy not cure him. Please let me know for this is the only thing I have right now for my son.
