Hi Susan, I have had brusitis of the hip for almost 2 years. It has totally changed my life -- basically I'm housebound and in constant pain. Can't walk and it hurts to sit in a wheelchair more than 15 minutes. I've been to 6 doctors (G.P., orthopedic & and rhuematologists), and have had a total of 5 injections of cortisone -- NONE of which helped at all. Evidently, there's no cure other than cortisone and time. . .a LONG TIME. Hopefully, you will respond to cortisone and the problem will heal in about 2 to 3 months. This is the "usual" course.
