I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism at 8. Was regulated at 11. After I had first child in 1980 my thyroid stopped functioning. I was placed on .125mg of Synthroid per day until 1995 when my thyroxine level could no longer be regulated. I am always either hyperthyroid or normal, but for very short periods of time. My doctors were not the best. I have been referred by my Chinese acupuncturist to an excellent internist who with alternative medicine treatment I am positive, as is she and Dr. Yang, my acupuncturist, that my body will be balanced once again, but not just focusiing on the thyroid. Each organ is connected to each other as well as youir emotional status. I will let you know what happens down the. My TSH was also as low as .01 and it should be 2. We shall see.
