Elbow, shoulder, neck pain,

Hello, I am an athletic trainer and thought I could offer some assistance. Much of the time when you have pain that goes from the hand all the way to the neck, the problem is coming from the neck not the extremity. I think that it would be wise for you to concentrate on your neck instead of the arms. I would suggest doing neck exercises as well as exercises for your shoulder complex. This will help your posture which when fatigued can lead to severe pain. Stretching the neck is also very important. Tight muscles can pinch the nerves running down your arm. Pay attention to your symptoms in your hand. If the pain and tingling is only in the little finger and half of the ring finger, then the nerve problem might be coming from your elbow (ulnar nerve). If the pain is over the rest of the hand, it would not be coming from your elbow, but maybe you have carpal tunnel. If carpal tunnel has been ruled out, it is coming from your shoulder or neck. Trying do exercises for your shoulder and neck coupled with stretching. Be patient, it can take a couple of weeks to feel the effects of this routine. Good luck.
